• GLORY

  Leaders talk through how understanding Glory - truly understanding it - is a journey whose destination is Zion. We spend our whole time here coming to understand God’s Glory.

  Reiterate that for follower of Jesus our Faith is the foundation of our lives showing God Glory. And that the faith we have is what fuels our worship, our obedience, our service to God. Literally everything we do for the Kingdom. 

  
  Lets Get practical about faith then.

  Here are some real ways we can live out our faith every day:
  

  1. Be a friend

     1. Read Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

     2. What is one way you can be a friend this week based on the verse?

  2. User Your Gifts

     1. Read 1 Peter 4:10-11 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 11whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

     2. These aren’t the only gifts God has given you. And all the gifts he has given you are on purpose. What is one gift, talent, skill, etc you have that you can start using for God’s Glory?

  3. Radiate positivity

     1. Read  Proverbs 17:22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

     2. This is very prescriptive of life in general. The proverb is creating an either or we cannot escape. If you aren’t radiating positivity then your spirit will end up like dusty old bones. And positivity has nothing to do with circumstance and everything to do with faith when you are a Christ follower. So what is one thing in your life you allow to steal your positivity? How will you hand that over to Jesus?

  4. Show your gratitude

     1. Read  1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

     2. You might have noticed this can be linked to positivity pretty easily. Regardless of circumstances we have reasons to be thankful. What is one thing - one real thing you are thankful for to Jesus? It needs to be something that is directly related to their personal relationship with Jesus. 

  5. Do your best

     1. Read Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 

     2. Get real with your life group right now. What is one thing in your life where you slack off? After they share pray as a group that each of the students and leaders would hand that over to God so he could work in them to start doing their very best in those things specifically for God’s glory. Challenge them to do it for at least a month and see how many people notice the heaven they take with them when they do.

  Finish out with some prayer.

We will know we have hit our target if:

-We all have a better understanding of the weight of God's Glory.

-We all have simple steps to take in our faith.

-We understand that our faith is built on God's Glory and so the way we grow our faith is through him - he is required to be there :).

-At least one life group has committed to First Saturday Serve Day for Dream Center this Saturday.
