Zion :: On Earth
Clean hands and cover their mouths when they cough. :)
This is a special Moxie - Thanksgiving X
We have thanksgiving X every year. We spend time giving thanks.
This year we are making it a part of the ZIon Series.
There are 7 Stations around the campus.
The stations are marked and numbered on the map below
Each Life group will start at a number and then follow the numbers in order until you have completed all 7 stations.
Each station should be 10 minutes at most.
Leaders you will need to make sure your group is respectful.

We worship and Sing: (main space) #1
7And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. 8And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9And they sang a new song, saying,
“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
10and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”
11Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12saying with a loud voice,
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
13And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
Revelation 5:7-13 (ESV)
Noah will talk for a moment about singing and worship.
Then you will sing a song together.
Enjoy God’s Creation: (In the Island) #2
43And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
Luke 23:43 (ESV)
God is the author of all creations and he holds everything together. He is in everything and aware of everything and never gets overwhelmed or confused. We can be so thankful for the creation around us and that God gives us the opportunity to experience it.
Consider this though - Do we really grasp how BIG God is?
Take some time to walk around this area and read the unbelievable truth about creation and the characteristics of God. Take your time as you read them. Let them soak in.
After you have done this,
Spend a few moments with your eyes towards the sky. Close them and listen to creation. You may hear wind, or cars, or building, or who knows. But just know all that you see and hear and feel. All that you taste and smell are part of God’s creation. Spend a moment giving thanks that we get to experience it.
Now gather together as a small group and you all spend some time sharing what parts of creation do they feel a tug towards God.
Have a prayer of thanksgiving as a lifegroup.
We Rest: (Kidmotion) #3
13And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”
Revelation 14:13 (ESV)
9So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God,
10for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
Hebrews 4:9-10 (ESV)
So often we get bogged down in the busyness that is our everyday lives. School, homework, jobs, friends, relationships, sports, church, activities, and the list could go on and on. We forget to take time to pause and be in the presence of God.
That is what this time is about. It’s a pause button, a pause to know God, a pause to rest in Him, a pause to commune with Him and be thankful that he gives us Rest.
At this station I simply want you to pause. Sit and rest. Read from the Bible. Journal. Write a note to God. Or just sit and be still, enjoying the presence of God.
You will be here for 10 minutes so get comfortable, and be quiet and respectful.
Concentrate on Hebrews 4:9-10 and as you leave this space write down one word that came to mind on the white board on stage.
Eating in celebration (Kidmo Lobby) #4
30that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Luke 22:30 (ESV)
9And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”Revelation 19:9 (ESV)
2through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Revelation 22:2 (ESV)
Food is awesome! And one of the ways we experience this part of heaven on earth is in what we call the table or maybe you have heard of it as communion.
Taking communion is one of two ordinances that Jesus left for the church to follow. Taking communion is a sacred time in which we remember the sacrifice of Christ. Scripture is clear that we must not take communion with impurities in our heart. Take a moment and examine yourself and prepare yourself to partake in communion.
THENRead this aloud:
And as they were eating, he took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it. And he said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. Truly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God. Mark 14:22-25 (ESV)
When you are done take a communion cup; drink and eat and give thanks.
Attain knowledge and Wisdom: (Wee Worship) #5
12For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
1 Corinthians 13:12 (ESV)
In the meantime we are not waiting to attain knowledge and wisdom. God has given us his spirit and his word. He has created relationships with us and knows us in a way that allows us to continually move towards knowing fully.
How have you experienced God’s presence in your life? What words come to mind as you reflect on who/what/how God is to you? Use the Scrabble letters here to create and meditate upon the words that come to mind. Feel free to connect your words to those of others (Scrabble-style) as a symbol of how we each have experiences of God to share with one another.
Say a prayer thanking God for His presence in your life, and ask Him to continue to speak to you daily. We will Serve God: (Green Room) #6
3 No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.
4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
5 And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
Revelation 22:3-5 (ESV)
17 And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’
Luke 19:17 (ESV)
We have all been called to serve from the moment we follow Jesus on through eternity.
Read Isaiah 6:1-8.
This is an amazing account of one person’s encounter with God.
At the close of this encounter, God says He’s looking for a volunteer. Isaiah responds, “Send me.” What about you? Where do you believe God is wanting to send you? What do you believe God wants to do with you? What kingdom worker card have you opened?
Use the provided supplies to draw or write out where it is you believe God is sending you, and what you believe He is calling you to do.Once done grab an envelope. Put your piece in the envelope and write out the “place” where you believe God is sending you on the outside of the envelope.
When you are done, leave the envelope in the mailboxEnjoy Fellowship Together (Main Lobby) #7
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
John 14:3 (ESV)
11 I tell you, many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,
Matthew 8:11 (ESV)
Fellowship is just intentional relationship. In Zion we will live in eternal fellowship with one another and with the God of the Universe. With Jesus and his family.
On earth right now you are standing among the people whom you will spend eternity with. Why would we wait to get intentional with our relationships. Each of us has been put here and have been called to bring Glory to God and Love to others. Well Jesus calls us to an intentional love. And in this season of thanksgiving in our weird times we need to be intentional in our thanksgiving of one another. Moxie is a strong tribe of students who can genuinely change the course of history through our love for one another.
When we love someone, we give thanks for them. It may be characteristics, physical attributes, actions, or attitudes that they possess.
There are post it notes on the tables. There are also signs for each life group on the walls. Spread out. Take time to write down something you are thankful for using one word about someone in your life group. So for example Joey is Funny. Then put that post it on the wall underneath your life group sign.
Spend some time doing this and try to create one for every single person in your life group.
Once you have all done that take a moment and check out what people are appreciative of you for.
Thank God for creating a family that is thankful for you..
We will finish our time together in the main space worshiping together
We will know we have hit our target if:
-Our family experiences these heavenly things on earth.
-We all are respectful of one another an d everyone gets to experience all 7 stations.
-Students know there is no Moxie next week.
-The students know how thankful we are to get to do life with them.
