Paradox :: Imperium in Imperio

• Clean hands and cover their mouths when they cough. :)

• Make sure every student leaves with a Collision reminder card.

• Royal Priest (Last Week)

  • Ask the students how they did with their first step of living the life of a Royal Priest they came up with last week.

• Imperium in Imperio

  • Ambassadors:

    • Have a student read Matthew 28:18-20.

    • Have someone Else read 1 Timothy 2:1-5

    • Last one. Have someone read Romans 15:15-19

      • Considering those Passages what are some of the ways all Jesus Followers are instructed to be Ambassadors to the outer kingdom?

  • The boards:

    • It can be hard sometimes no matter how long you have been following Jesus to had over some of the boards of our ship. Those things we know Jesus is working on in our lives or even the things in our lives we try to hide from him.

    • Have someone read Romans 8:5-9

    • Have another student read 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

    • Last one: Have someone read 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17

      • Considering those passages what are some of the ways God has given us and instructed us to hand over those boards?

  • The old ship:

    • Each of us at some point has been the old ship. The one who only exists in the outer kingdom. But God is calling all of his creation into the inner kingdom.

    • Have someone read Romans 2:14-16

    • Have someone else read Colossians 1:9-22

      • What do these verses tell us about God’s plan and hope for all the old ships in his creation?

      • Considering this as we the new ships bound to the inner kingdom spend our days in the outer kingdom how might we - with our mouths - communicate the truth of the inner kingdom to those around us? What can we say to those who do not yet know Jesus?

• Challenge the students to step into one conversation with someone this coming week that shares a truth about the inner kingdom with someone in their life.

• Check in with them about how life is going.

• Finish with Prayer

We will know we have hit our target if:

-Students leave with a reminder card for collision and are motivated to attend.

-Students and Leaders have a firm understanding of the Inner and Outer kingdoms as well as how we are ships of Theseus.

-Students leave with a simple step towards sharing about the inner kingdom with the outer kingdom.
