On Your Own :: Your friends
In many game shows, having a team with unique skills and abilities can make a difference. This week,
we heard a story of when Jesus started building his dream team by inviting his first followers to join him.
Jesus' invitation changed the lives of these men and helped them grow closer to God, a reminder of how
your friends can help your faith grow.
BIBLE: Proverbs 27:17, Luke 5:1–11 Proverbs 12:26, Proverbs 13:20, Psalm 145:8–90, Proverbs 18:24, Acts 2:42-47
Everyone left with a card from the main space. Make sure each student has their card.
Start the time off by reading Proverbs 27:17
”As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”
Explain the meaning of the verse.
Now have the students break into pairs of two in your rooms (even if they need to stand") And give them 5 minutes to work through the cards themselves. And give them 5 minutes to work with one another (from their pairs) one exploring what they found with each other.
After they finish you can continue on to the questions.
