Start by reviewing what we learned tonight.

Sharpeners:

  • Are Good Examples

  • Push Us

  • Listen

Ask the students which of these things stuck with them the most and why.

Read Proverbs 11:14

Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

Read Proverbs 2:2

Making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;

Read Proverbs 27:17

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another

Have a conversation on what these verses have to do with how we sharpen one another. About the Pauls in our lives and the Timothy’s in our life.

Create a discussion led by these questions:

  • What kinds of “Pauls” do you interact with in a normal week?

  • What qualities make a “Paul” a good example?

  • Who are some “Pauls” who are worth looking up to?

  • Have you ever had someone challenge you to get better? How?

  • How can you tell if people are looking up to you?

  • Who do you look up to?

  • What are ways that you can be setting a good example for those who look up to you?

PRAY and CHILL

We will know we have hit our target if:

-Students understand the idea of sharpeners in such a way that they want to find and be those kind of people.

-The young ladies are signed up for Radiant.

-Students start thinking about the people they look up to and the people who look up to them and how they can pursue the Kigndom in those relationships.
