Full Send | Wk 4: Choose Resilience
What would happen if we went all-in on our God-given purpose? Full Send invites students to fight apathy, commit to discipline, build resilience, and stay connected to God, the True Source, as they whole-heartedly pursue their God-given purpose. The teenage years are a unique period of time. Teens are discovering new levels of independence, forming their identities, navigating friendships, and considering what to do with their interests and passions. What a gift from God! Teenage brains are literally wired in a way they will never be wired again—wired for play, possibility, and pursuit. These are prime years for getting a headstart on changing the world and forming a Jesus-worldview.
This series challenges students to call to life any parts of their purpose they've muted or ignored—whether for fear of being seen trying, lack of self-discipline, being derailed by painful setbacks, or finding themselves addicted to the inescapable cheap dopamine that seems to be everywhere these days.

TAKE ATTENDANCE & INTRODUCE YOURSELF (If anyone is new)
FOR FUN: Take some time to catch up. Ask your students – What is your default reaction when things don't go your way—vent, shut down, distract yourself, wallow?
DISCUSS THIS:
1. If you had to rate how your life feels right now on a scale from 1 (deep in the wilderness) to 10 (smooth sailing), where are you sitting today, and why?2. In the lesson, “wallowing" was defined as replaying the hurt over and over until it
becomes your whole identity. Why do you think it's so easy for us to get stuck "wandering" around our pain instead of moving forward?
3. Read Mark 1:12-13. we see that Jesus ended up in the wilderness because the Spirit led Him there—not because He messed up. Why do you think we automatically assume we did something wrong or that God is mad at us whenever life gets tough?"
4. Look at Psalm 34:18. What does it actually look like in everyday life for God to be "close to the brokenhearted"? Have you ever felt that closeness, or does He feel far away when life hurts?
5. The lesson talked about shifting from Wandering to Wondering—asking God "What can You build in me through this?" instead of just "Why is this happening?" How hard is that shift to make, and what keeps us from asking God that question?
6. Point 2 encouraged being completely raw and honest with God instead of putting on a "cleaned-up act." What holds middle and high schoolers back from praying honest, bold prayers?
7. Read Galatians 6:2. The wilderness often tricks us into isolating ourselves. Who is one trusted person (a leader, parent, or friend) you can lean on when life gets heavy, and how can this group support each other this week?
